Benefits for Donors to the Thai Red Cross

Giving through Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital entitles donors to the following privileges (effective three months after the date of donation):

1. Honorary Membership

*The Thai Red Cross Gold Card Membership is accorded to:
Individuals who donate 3 million baht or more

  • The chairperson or officer of equal rank of a legal entity who donates 10 million baht or more

*The Thai Red Cross Honorary Membership is accorded to:

  • Individual donors, or direct family members of donors who contribute 20,000 baht or more (one person per membership only)
  • The chairperson or board director of a legal entity who donates 100,000 baht or more (one person per membership only)

2. Royal Decorations

The Thai Red Cross Society will initiate a formal nomination, or issue a certification letter for use in a formal nomination, for a Royal Decoration in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Office of the Prime Minister:

  • Donors who contribute 100,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for a Silver Medal (Seventh Class) of the Direkgunabhorn.
  • Donors who contribute 200,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for a Gold Medal (Sixth Class) of the Direkgunabhorn.
  • Donors who contribute 500,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for Membership (Fifth Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn).
  • Donors who contribute 1,500,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for Companion (Fourth Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn.
  • Donors who contribute 6,000,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for Commander (Third Class) or the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn.
  • Donors who contribute 14,000,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for Knight Commander (Second Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn.
  • Donors who contribute 30,000,000 baht or more are entitled to be nominated for Knight Grand Cross (First Class) of the Most Admirable Order of the Direkgunabhorn.

For donors who are legal entities, to qualify for a royal decoration nomination, the total amount donated in the name of the legal entity must be equal to three times or more the qualifying amount for individual donors in the same category.

3. The Red Cross Awards Medals

*The Red Cross Awards Medal (First Class) is awarded to those who donate 400,000 baht or more in a single contribution.

*The Red Cross Awards Medal (Second Class) is awarded to those who donate 200,000 baht or more in a single contribution, or enlist others to donate 400,000 baht or more in a single contribution.

*Corporate or legal entities who donate money or property worth 400,000 baht or more to the Thai Red Cross in a single contribution are entitled to nominate one representative to receive the Red Cross Awards Medal (First Class) by submitting a letter of certification from the chief executive of the company or legal entity.

4. Annual Income Tax Deductions for Donors

Donation receipts can be used for income tax deduction purposes in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Revenue Department, Ministry of Finance.
